I refound this game around 3 months ago and put in some fairly serious time trying to grow to grow my guild and keep up with the few members left. Around a month later, I bought 2 months of Preferred Player, confident that with all the talk of updates and plans for the game, I would see some progress in that time. My Preferred Player runs out in 2 days and I feel we rarely even see the game staff, let alone any possible updates to encourage people to stay. Every day of those 3 months, I check Help New Playersand click the links of the players in there, with the crazy hope that perhaps one of them will see it before they give up on this game and decide to stay.

With the migration to the new server aside (that happened almost a year ago and is STILL the "Current Topic" in the chat room), this game is in the same state it has been in for the last 5 years, if not longer.

I've offered my help to the staff in a desperate attempt to try and help the game myself with what little I have to offer. I've spent hours of my own time, adding to and tidying the Wiki in the hope that new players will get info on how to play and decide to stay. I've spent somewhere between £70-100 real money supporting the game through Preferred Player and purchases of Points. But I, and we, can only do so much.

Any sort of constructive criticism (such as this post) is shrugged off with a smiley or jokey comment and never acted on. The players want this game to succeed and become like it was 10 years ago, but we need a light at the end of the tunnel. Promises of bug fixes and maintenance fall on deaf ears now because it's what we've all been hearing for years with no action.

I'm sorry if this post is difficult to read for some but I feel that from people I've spoken to, many feel the same way. I'm more than happy to have a civil discussion about this, but please don't take this thread as an excuse to throw hate around. That's not my intention. With that in mind, I'm keen to hear other people's thoughts.

Yeah I was hopeful that the new server would bring more action on the devs' parts but from what I've heard, Cyberkilla has a dream job that prevents him from putting much time into the game, and his brother has a gf that does the same.  At one point I heard that Cyberkilla's brother was putting in 50 hours a week trying to develop the new server and bring it up and running, but idk how much time either of them spend on this game anymore.  I also really want this game to succeed, but another thing I've heard is that it's not lucrative enough for the devs to want to keep putting work into it.

I honestly don't know what the devs can do to make this game something that they would be willing to put more effort into, but right now I've just been coming back every time I get an email saying "stopped playing?", doing a few attacks and then leaving again.  I was actually wondering if the world builder is still active for people that buy preferred player.

Hows it going, and have fun.

I understand that CK probably is very busy and that results in zero updates, but my problem comes from that there is no communication from him. The very little communication that has happened did so 8 months ago, in the form of a long list of 'promised' updates that never happened. Literally none of those ~40 features have made it into the game. Another problem I have is that about half of the features listed as part of the "Preferred Player" packages have "[Coming Soon]" listed next to them. My question is: Exactly when? I appreciate listing features as [Coming Soon] in the short term, but in the long-term that is misleading advertisement. Those things should be added in, as to make good on his part of the transaction, or they should be removed as features of the Preferred Player package. It's not a good ethic to have, as it currently stands.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Godfather was taking a larger role in the sites development. At least that is how it was when I left. Almost all contact was transitioned to Godfather instead.

Maybe one day the game'll get bought out by a coder who can put the time into it?

I think there is still potential of making decent cash from this game, so long as more players can be brought in. Since points and even credits aren't all that useful (except for upgrades), there isn't much of incentive to buy some.

It's got potential though, it's a solid base right now.
