I'm currently investigating ways we could make credits more useful to guilds. I think there have been a few suggestions recently, but I can't seem to find them.

I'll make a bullet point list of everyone's ideas in this post, so if you have any ideas, please reply to this thread! (smiley)

I should also say, some of them may be bad ideas, or contradicting ideas. That's fine at this stage, it's just a brainstorming session.

So far:
  • Potentially require small credit cost for forming raids, and lower turn cost.
  • Buy trophies to display on the guild profile page for prestige purposes.
  • Buy extra upgrades for the guild.
  • Buy temporary skill buff effects that apply to all guild members ("cheap raids", "bonus exp", "atk buff during attacks", etc.)
  • Pay for special access to bonus maps for all guild members.
  • Buy "a**ets" that are basically guild items, which give buffs to attacking/raiding, but can be stolen/destroyed during raids (this one conflicts with territories idea a bit, not sure how to reconcile them. I also wanted to get something similar for players, but it would conflict with normal items there too. Shame...)
Personally, I've always struggled with thinking of uses for the guild credit hoard, but I think it could (and should) have a lot more bearing on a guild's day-to-day operations beyond prestige and awarding to individual members.

Perhaps having a Guild Store that has items that can only be bought with guild credits? There could even be some sort of unlocking gate where you couldn’t just buy everything immediately. The guild would have to complete certain milestones/objectives to be able to purchase the better items. Perhaps even being able to buy points through the store to help the guilds build better bases/maps.

I like the idea of buying points.  I also think maybe those of us that have worlds from world builder should be able to connect our worlds to our guilds and maybe be able to pay other guilds or possibly have a cut of the payment go to the player that made the map.  I know we kind of ran into issues where we were not really prepared to give access to each other's maps without paying something.

Other than that maybe have some guild skills and maybe they could buff certain things.  I guess there are already some guild skills, but maybe temporary buffs could work also.  I do not know if being able to specifically buy exp turns for members would be the best idea.  Possibly turns but exp should not be made too much easier to get, otherwise it kind of cheapens the grind that higher level players had to go through to get their levels.

I wonder also if maybe the different guilds could have stores for themselves that they can put extra items in just in case some other guilds wanted to buy a piece of a set that maybe they are missing.

Hows it going, and have fun.
